CROSSING LATITUDES

FRI 23.5. at 7pm Hällä STAGE

A solitary figure, a modern nomad moving across the vast lava fields of Iceland. Latitudes meet. Landscapes, maps on skin, pathways drawn on rock, curling around the neck, following the horizon.

Crossing Latitudes combines two characters – a live performer with an image filmed in Iceland and projected on stage. Moving in their own environments, they communicate through wandering in a shared space between the interior and exterior. The projection is possibly a memory or a vision of the future. The body also represents the changing landscape, and perhaps an eternal cycle existing simultaneously in different realities.
