Dance artist and filmmaker Kati Kallio hosts a meetup event for professional artists and art students interested in making dance cinema.

Are you a maker of dance films or videos, or wordless cinema? Are you missing a chance to talk with fellow creators, exchange thoughts and share stuff? Is your head buzzing with a creative idea that could benefit from a little peer support, attention, discussion, or mentoring? This meetup provides a great way to get to know people and collectively figure out future pathways for the artform.

We’re happy to receive your suggestions for discussion topics. You can either email your ideas to us along with your event registration, or you can present them at the meeting.

The event is free for everyone, but make sure you sign up in advance to be included in our catering count (coffee service). Send your signup email to liput@tanssivirtaa.net by May 13, 2026.

Depending on the participants, the event will be in Finnish and English.
